It looks to all intents and purposes as if it was almost new (or say, a couple of years old).I've revised the next bit about the lacquer after receiving a message from someone who has an almost identical horn, 10 serial numbers lower than mine.I have never been sure about the lacquer because of the colour which is slightly lighter than some Kings of that period and slightly darker than, for example the very light colour of my silversonic.

I bought it around 6 years ago when it was fitted with the original factory pads. The engraving is as sharp as the day it came out of the factory. The pearls show little evidence of wear and it has every indication of having hardly been used. The condition can only be described as outstanding with the only lacquer loss being present on the solid sterling silver neck.There are no dings and the mechanics are really tight.
